Spoilers: Ruby receives tragic health news after baby loss in EastEnders

Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) in EastEnders was desperate to have a baby with Martin Fowler (James Bye), but once he told her that he didn’t want anymore children, Ruby spun a huge web of lies and faked a pregnancy.

After an argument in the pub, Ruby went to the bathroom before abruptly leaving. She discovered she was bleeding and when she arrived at the hospital, she was told she was having a miscarriage.

Too heartbroken to tell Martin the truth, Ruby lied once more, and told him Stacey (Lacey Tuner) was the reason she’s miscarried her baby after falling down the stairs.

As Martin and Ruby deal with the news, the trouble is not over yet, as Ruby receives some information about her health in the coming weeks.

Despite Martin’s objections, a frail Ruby gets ready for work but she soon doubles over in pain.

Later at the hospital, the doctor tells Ruby she has been haemorrhaging from her miscarriage and will need a procedure.

Ruby is distraught and Martin is at a loss on how to support her.

Will this health news impact Ruby and Martin’s struggling relationship even more?
