Stacey Solomon emotional as she admits she didn’t feel like a good mum to Rex

Loose Women star Stacey Solomon struggled to hold herself together as she opened up about her adorable baby son Rex with the panellists today.

Nadia Sawalha, Judi Love, Kaye Adams and Stacey were discussing Kim Kardashian's latest snap of herself with her daughter Chicago.

The women spoke about whether it was okay to call your child "chunky", which Kim described her youngest daughter as.

Kim had written: "OMG found this pic in my phone and our babies are so tiny and cute and chunky and perfect!!!"

As Nadia asked Stacey what she thought, the mum-of-three said that the topic made her emotional because of her own experiences with baby Rex.

She said: "Do you know what, talking about this makes me a bit emotional.

"When I was trying to feed Rex, all I wanted was for him to be big and fat and chunky and to have rolls so I knew I was doing a good job.

"But I wasn't and he was really skinny…" as Nadia jumped in to correct her, saying she did do a good job with him.

Stacey said: "You know what I mean, I wasn't able to feed him the way I wanted to feed him.

"I love to see a thriving, chunky baby, and yeah it makes me emotional…" as she quickly lifted her mug to her face.

Kay jumped in to say that she agreed with Stacey, saying she would be much more offended if someone commented on how skinny her baby was compared with "chunky".

Meanwhile, Stacey also opened up about nearly forgetting her new fiance Joe's 39th birthday earlier this week.

Stacey shared her panic on Instagram as she showed Joe talking about his big day, as she quickly promised a surprise.

She said on Loose Women: "I'm finding the second lockdown harder than the first in terms of keeping track of the dates."

Stacey then admitted that she panicked and bought Joe vouchers after making him so DIY presents, sparking outrage from Kay.

The presenter accused Stacey of getting Joe a generic present which didn't require any thought, leaving Stacey stunned.

Loose Women continues on Monday at 12.30pm on ITV.
