Who is in the cast of The Mess You Leave Behind?

The cast of The Mess You Leave Behind is made entirely up of celebrated Spanish actors.

Actress Inma Cuesta, who is best known for Arde Madrid, stars in the leading role as Raquel.

She is joined by Magical Girl actress Barbara Lennie as Elvira, High Seas actor Tamar Novas as Germán and Elite’s Arón Piper as Iago.

Joining them in the main cast is Roberto Enríquez, who has been in The Impatient Alchemist and The Borgia, as Mauro.

The series of clips show the intense moments of when Raquel starts her new job at a school in Galicia.

What is the plot of The Mess You Leave Behind?

The Mess You Leave Behind is about Raquel who wants to give her marriage a second chance and ends up moving to his birthtown of Galicia in Spain.

When she arrives, she then takes on a substitute teaching position at one of the local schools.

However, she soon finds out though that she has taken over the position from a woman called Elvira who died from suicide.

As Raquel spends more time in Elvira’s shoes though, she soon becomes suspicious that there was more to her predecessor’s death than meets the eye.

Author Carlos Montero is responsible for co-writing Netflix’s Elite season two and will also be involved in the third season.

But he has switched roles to become the director for the television adaptation of his own book The Mess You Leave Behind.

This is the first Netflix production which has been shot entirely in Galicia in Spain.

The Mess You Leave Behind will be released on Friday, December 11, on Netflix.
