Tipping Point fans gobsmacked as player wins ice crusher in ‘worst prize ever’

Tipping Point fans were left in disbelief after a contestant was awarded the "worst prize ever" after receiving a £50 snow cone and ice crusher machine.

The dud prize was revealed after contestant Trevor managed to get a mystery counter over the line – leaving viewers unimpressed with the offering.

Host Ben Shepard revealed to Trevor he was now the owner of “a snow cone ice crusher courtesy of Prezzy Box”, which retails for a measly £50.

Fans of the popular ITV quiz show took to social media to slam the disappointing prize, with one fan telling the winning contestant to stick it on eBay.

One fan tweeted: “A snow cone and slush maker? Straight to eBay…”

Another blasted: “Shi*e prize that no one fu***ng wants klaxon!!”

While a third echoed: “What a shi*e prize.”

The quiz show was back once more with Ben Shephard guiding four new players through with the chance to take home up to £10,000.

Snow cone winner Trevor did manage to take home £3,500, with Shepard dubbing him the lucky winner of two amazing prizes.

Runner-up Carla was also mocked on the social media platform after she mistook the capital city of Athens as a Greek Island.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, who has been hosting Tipping Point for nearly 10 years, had asked her: “One of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the giant statue known as The Colossus, was located on which Greek island?"

Baffled Carla replied: “I feel like Trevor will definitely know this, I’m gonna have a wild guess at Athens but I’m not 100% sure.”

As an awkward silence fell over the show, Shephard replied: “We were looking for an island Carla, you’ve gone with the capital!”

“Have I?” laughed Carla.

The dud prize and hilarious answers were part of a string of gaffes from the hit daytime quiz show.

Fans were recently left bored and confused after Ben asked one contestant about toilets rather than quizzing them on their general knowledge for a chance on the machine.

The 46-year-old started quizzing contestant player Gurpage on his knowledge of the toilet industry after discovering he was a bathroom salesman.

Ben asked: "Do know what I don't see enough of? Bidets, do you sell many of them these days?"

After replying about some of his knowledge of the industry, Gurpage joked that his own toilet was "bog standard".
