PIERS Morgan and Susanna Reid are the staple of morning TV helping to kick off our day on Good Morning Britain.

But fans are wondering where they are today and why they are not hosting the show.

Piers and Susanna have been a firm fixture on GMB since 2014.

But, every summer they take a few months off, with 2020 being no different.

The pair signed off the summer on July 8, 2020.

They both have young children and always take the school holidays off.

Who will be replacing the GMB hosts?

Kate Garraway has revealed she will be back on Monday (July 13, 2020) to present the show again.

The popular TV star has not hosted the show since March 2020, when her husband Derek Draper contracted coronavirus.

Although Derek remains in a critical condtion in hospital, doctors have advised Kate to get back to work.

She will be joined by GMB regular Ben Shephard.

The Sun has contacted ITV about further replacement hosts, with them telling us "summer presenters will be announced in due course".

Previous replacements have included morning TV favourite Richard Madeley.

When will Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid be back on GMB?

Fear not, the pair will return to their GMB hosting duties – but you have a bit of a wait.

ITV have told us they will be back in September.

An exact date though, is yet to be announced.

What has Kate Garraway said about returning to GMB?

On July 8, 2020, Kate returned to the studio to give an update on her husband Derek Draper's condition and also to reveal she would be returning to her presenting duties on the show.

She said: “I’m back. It’s really emotional. As soon as I walked in I thought, ‘I’m going to cry now’.

"It’s so lovely to see your faces. I can see your faces anyway [on screen]. It’s lovely to be back, it’s like coming out of a little bubble of sadness. It’s so strange to still be in this situation.”
