Yellowstone series three ended with an almighty cliffhanger whereby three members of the Dutton family were in danger of being killed off. Paramount Network confirmed there would be a fourth season on the way but a release date hasn’t yet been announced. Exactly when the new episodes will premiere depends on the show keeping to its filming schedule.
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Yellowstone.
Yellowstone began filming in mid-August this year with shooting “exclusively” taking place at the ranch this year, according to creator Taylor Sheridan.
There has been no news as to when series four will begin on Paramount Network.
The previous three seasons have all started in June so as long as there are no delays in filming, this could once again be the case for series four.
But viewers are going to have to wait a little while longer before this is confirmed by the American channel.
How much does it cost to film Yellowstone?
Yellowstone may be set in Montana, filming for the actual drama takes place hundreds of miles away.
Shooting for the Western drama mainly takes place in and around Park City in Utah where most of the scenes for Yellowstone are shot.
The cast and crew of Yellowstone have spent around a jaw-dropping $80million (£59,942,000) while filming the three seasons in Utah, according to the Salt Lake City Tribune.
So this roughly works out as Yellowstone spending just under $27million (£20,230,425) per series.
This is supposedly the amount which is spent while in Utah but this wouldn’t include other factors such as salaries.
So it is reported that the total figure could be closer to around $35million (£26,224,625) for each of the first three seasons.
Series one would have cost a little less as it was made up of nine rather than 10 episodes.
But if this is the case, then every episode in series two and three could have cost an estimated $3.5million (£2,622,287) to shoot.

Even without the sets and the cost of filming, the actors’ salaries still set Paramount Network back quite a bit.
Actor Kevin Costner who portrays John Dutton is making around $500,000 (£374,612) per episode of Yellowstone.
This is a lot more than his co-stars Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Luke Grimes and Kelsey Asbille.
These actors are reportedly earning around $200,000 (£149,845) per episode of the American drama.
When Yellowstone does return for season four, there are going to be plenty of questions which need answering.
John Dutton (played by Kevin Costner) was shot in the finale but did his phone, which was conveniently placed in his top pocket, protect him?
Was Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) able to fight off the gunmen who stormed into his office?
And did Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) emerge from the explosion unharmed or is she in grave danger?
Yellowstone is available to watch on Paramount Network.
